Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified Feature Event Highlights from Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, New York on July 28th, 2019.
WEEDSPORT, NY – July 28, 2019 – Super Matt Sheppard needed all of his power and green flag laps he could get to seal his sixth Super DIRTcar Series win of 2019. Having secured a guaranteed start for NAPA Super DIRT Week XLVIII, Sheppard passes the guarantee to runner-up and rival Erick Rudolph. Rudolph started eleventh and worked his way passed all of the best Big Block Modified drivers around except for one. Outside pole-sitter and early race leader Mat Williamson finished third to round out the podium.
Weedsport Speedway celebrates DIRTcar History with $10,000-to-win Hall of Fame 100 NAPA Super DIRT Week XLVIII Qualifier
WEEDSPORT, NY – July 22, 2019 – In just one week the Super DIRTcar Series returns to the hallowed Big Block Modified grounds of the historic Weedsport Speedway. This year, the Hall of Fame 100 pays $10,000-to-win and grants a guaranteed starting position in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200. The best Big Block Modified drivers in the world will battle it out for 100 laps on the .375 of a mile Central New York oval.
Erick Rudolph led flag-to-flag to win again at Weedsport Speedway
WEEDSPORT, NY – May 27, 2019 – Despite leading all 100 laps of the Heroes Remembered 100, fans were left amazed at the incredible race they had just witnessed. Rudolph fought back challenges from some of the best Super DIRTcar Series drivers to ever get behind the wheel of a Big Block Modified. Billy Decker, Stewart Friesen, and Max McLaughlin took turns trying to ground the high-flying Ransomville racer, but all efforts fell short. With a final lunge, Decker crossed the finish line under the checkered flag alongside the No. 25r, but was unable to complete the pass before the stripe.
WEEDSPORT, NY – May 27. 2019 – Last year’s Series runner-up Erick Rudolph battled back a bevy of Big Blocks to capture another Weedsport Speedway checkered flag. Close across the stripe behind him was Gypsum Express’s veteran pilot Billy Decker. NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series star Stewart Friesen made his bid for the top spot multiple times but was eventually passed by the No. 91.

Erick Rudolph Wins $10,000 Hall of Fame 100 Grand Prize at Weedsport Speedway
WEEDSPORT, NY – July 28, 2018 – Erick Rudolph took the checkered flag at Weedsport Speedway for a $10,000 pay day and a guaranteed start in the 47th annual NAPA Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway. Rudolph, who sat second in points coming into the Hall of Fame 100, has been knocking on the door of a victory all season. His first Big-Block Modified win at Weedsport Speedway could not have come at a better time, as the win came with a huge check and an automatic bid for the $50,000 grand prize at NAPA Super DIRT Week XLVII. The win also ties his father Charlie Rudolph’s career record of three Super DIRTcar Series wins.
