Fuller was the fifth from last driver in the fourth of five groups to take time and the 2004 Rite Aid Champion made the best of the late afternoon assignment, winning the $2,500 American Traditions Motorsports Pole Award after touring the historic Syracuse Mile in a one-lap clocking of 30.160 sec. (119.363 mph).
