Weedsport, NY — September 15, 2008 – By Dan Kapuscinski, Canandaigua Speedway PR Coordinator
This coming weekend the thrills and chills of the Mr. DIRTcar post season campaigns fly into Canandaigua Speedway. Each of the Mr. DIRTcar traveling tours will be making a stop at the ‘Land of Legends’ during the two day LaBatt Blue RaceFest Weekend September 19-20, with racing starting each night at 7pm.
Friday night will be highlighted by the Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified Series, as they take part in the LaBatt Blue Light 75-lap Championship. Joining the 358-Modified stars will be the Parts Plus Big 6 Street Stock Series as they will head to Canandaigua Speedway for the second time this year for round number four of the six race tour — the first of five race making up the 2008 Mr. DIRTcar Street Stock Championship Series.
Saturday night will see the return of the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series for Big-Block Modifieds. The tour made its first stop in August with Twin 50 feature events that were swept by Billy Decker. This weekend the tour will circle the Canandaigua oval for 100 consecutive laps in the LaBatt Blue 100.
The Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series will also take to the Speedway that night in the LaBatt Ice 45, along with a 30-lap Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship event.
Make your plans now for this once a year post-season spectacular, as all of the best in DIRTcar racing will converge on the “Fastlands of the Finger Lakes,” Canandaigua Speedway.
Tickets for this great racing weekend will be priced at $20 for Adults, $18 for Seniors (65+), $5 for kids (10-14), and FREE for those 9 and under. A $35 two-day combo package will also be made available for spectator seating.
