Super DIRT Week XXXVII, October 7-12, at the New York State Fairgrounds continues to be an important stop for teams contending for titles in the overall 2008 Mr. DIRTcar Championships.

With a special ‘Grand Slam’ points system in place for a second straight year, Big-Block teams signed up for the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series Rite Aid 200 will have the most at stake as Sunday’s winner will receive 150 Series points while 50 points are awarded to start.

Full series points will also be distributed following the Pro Stock Championship contest on Sunday, October 12, with the traditional post-season points structure in place that gives out 100 markers to the 25-lap winner, 40 to start and 10 attempting to qualify.

100 show up points will be given to every driver that attempts to qualify for either the DIRTcar 358-Modified Championship or Town Mechanical 30 Sportsman title race, with both main events scheduled for Saturday, October 11 on the Syracuse Mile.

To follow all the DIRTcar Racing NE Series standings as the point races unfold, log into www.dirtcar.com and select ‘Driver Points’ listed on the left side of the homepage, then choose any of the five Northeast touring divisions and click on to view the current point leaders. *NOTE: Pro Stocks are listed in the UMP Sportsman category.
