At 20 years old, Felix Roy accomplished a feat in 2025 that hadn’t been reached in 10 years.

The Napierville, QC driver made 101 Feature starts this season, the first driver since Danny Johnson in 2015 to race that many times in a single season.

Roy accomplished that feat by racing at his home tracks and 29 races with the Super DIRTcar Series. It’s also a feat that’s possible again in 2026, as he’ll split races with his family’s King Autosport team, the Elmo’s Speed and Supply car prepared by Chris Reckner, and his new ride with the ONE Racing team.

“I’m very fortunate to be able to race that much,” Roy said. “And we’re about to partner up with the [ONE Racing Team], so we’ll be able to do the same amount next year, maybe more.

“It’s a nice milestone to achieve. Not many people have done it. So, we’re really looking forward to next year, and we’re very happy with the season we’ve had.”

In those 101 starts, Roy earned 13 victories, including wins at Autodrome Drummond, Albany-Saratoga Speedway, Airborne Park Speedway, Devils Bowl Speedway, and Cornwall Motor Speedway. Along with those wins, he also added DIRTcar 358 Modified championships at Airborne, Albany-Saratoga, and Devils Bowl.

“Hollywood” said that success comes from the experience he’s gained traveling with the Super DIRTcar Series.

“When we went back to Small Block racing, we brought the information with us, and it’s great,” Roy said. “We have a great car every week, pretty much. A few nights we started at the front and we’re able to stay there, but a few nights we were able to come from the back and win, too.”

While the Quebec driver said he’s happy with the 2025 season. He also said he’s far from satisfied. He’s still aiming for his first Super DIRTcar Series Feature win, a feat he came close to accomplishing after leading the first half of the race during the season finale at the Dirt Track at Charlotte during the World of Outlaws World Finals.

Unfortunately for Roy, he tangled with a lap car while leading, ending his chances for a victory.

“If I would’ve won Charlotte, I probably would’ve [met my expectations of the season],” Roy said. “I’m very happy with the season we had, except for the Series. If we can run more at the front like we did in Charlotte and be in the draw in 80 percent of Series races, it would be nice. Just get in the draw, get a good Qualifying run, start up front and stay there.”

As he enters his fourth year of Super DIRTcar Series competition in 2026, he’ll have more chances to defend home turf, with Airborne being added to the schedule in July.  The Thunder in the Adirondacks finishes off a three-night swing between Drummond and Airborne, which means Roy will compete at his home tracks for three straight nights.

“I’m really happy to see Airborne on the schedule,” Roy said. “I grew up running that track. My dad ran that track. And it’s one of the tracks I’ve been looking forward to getting to over the past three years. I know one of the years it got rained out. But I’m just really happy to see that on the schedule, along with going to Cornwall twice.

“There’s a lot more home tracks for me than in my first year, so I’m very happy to see that.”

Before the chase for his first Series championship begins, Roy will kick off the season at Volusia Speedway Park during Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Feb. 11-14. However, it’ll be a different experience for Roy this time around. He’ll drive the Elmo’s Speed and Supply No. 91 car, the Big Block he drove at Albany-Saratoga weekly and ran during a few Series events last year.

“We did pretty good with that car at Ransomville and had some great speed,” Roy said. “So, we’re looking forward to Volusia in that car. And we’re chasing that Gator for sure. To be consistently in the top 10 or the top five would be really nice.

“But we’re looking forward to that gator. I know it’s a tough one to get, but I think it could happen. I really want to do better on the Series, and I think next year’s going to be the year.”

After kicking off the 2026 season at Volusia Speedway Park to chase the Big Gator Championship, the 2026 Super DIRTcar Series championship season will begin at Georgetown Speedway for the Delaware Diamondon Saturday, March 28.
