The Beasts of the Northeast have awakened from their winter hibernation and eagerly await the start of the championship season.
After four winners in four races at Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals in Florida, the Super DIRTcar Series will bring its Earth-shaking thrill ride to New Jersey at the end March and New York throughout April.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up:
New Egypt Speedway | Power in the Pines (March 29):
For the second consecutive season, the Series kicks off its 2025 championship campaign at New Egypt Speedway for the Power in the Pines.
It’s the 16th time the Series will battle at the 7/16-mile track, with 10-time Series champion Matt Sheppard holding the most victories (3). Billy Pauch, Tim Fuller and Billy Decker have also scored multiple wins at the Garden State Facility.
Anthony Perrego won last year’s Power in the Pines, passing Darren Smith as they came to the white flag to earn his then-fourth career Series triumph.
This year’s event will be 75-laps, paying $7,500 to the winner.

Can-Am Speedway | Thunder in the Thousand Islands (April 12):
A Spring staple for the Series returns to the schedule in 2025 as Can-Am Speedway hosts the first of two April races.
In 25 races at the “Nasty Track of the North,” 17 different winners have reached Victory Lane, including current full-time Super DIRTcar Series stars Sheppard (3), Perrego and Mat Williamson, who won the last time the Series visited in September.
Four-time and defending Can-Am track champion Tim Fuller also won a Series Feature at the facility in 2007 and is looking for redemption after leading most of last year’s R.D. Hutchinson Memorial.

Albany-Saratoga Speedway | 60th Anniversary Celebration (April 18):
While two stops at Albany-Saratoga Speedway are nothing new for the Super DIRTcar Series, it’s the first time the Series will battle at the “Great Race Place” in April.
Not only will the event be the opening night of action for the track in New York’s Capital Region, it’ll kick off the track’s 60th anniversary. The facility opened in 1965 and has hosted event on both dirt and asphalt, including NASCAR Cup Series events won by Richard Petty.
The Super DIRTcar Series has been a staple since Lyle Devore took over the promotional reigns of the track in 2012. Overall, the track has produced 18 winners in 24 races, with Williamson sweeping both events last year on the road to the 2024 championship.
Friesen has the most Series wins at the track with four victories, while Kenny Brightbill, Mike Mahaney, and Williamson are the only other multi-time winners.
Since 2019, four drivers have earned their first Super DIRTcar Series victory at the track – Demetrios Drellos, Anthony Perrego, Mike Mahaney and Chris Hile.
