Last Chance Qualifier Fills Out Super DIRT Week Championship Field

Field almost Set for Billy Whittaker Cars 200

OSWEGO, NY — Oct. 7, 2016 — With Mother Nature showing her force in the Oswego, NY area, DIRTcar Racing officials had to adjust the NAPA Super DIRT Week schedule for the day to accommodate the race program. The Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds hit the track for only one time for the running of the Last Chance Qualifier for the Billy Whittaker Cars 200.

Carey Terrance in the 66X held off Alan Johnson and Danny Johnson en route to the 15-lap victory. Joining them in Sunday’s Billy Whittaker Cars 200 finale is Tommy Flanningan, Ryan Godown, 2008 Super DIRT Week Champion Frank Cozze, Jessey Mueller, Dan Humes, Steve Paine. Super DIRTcar Series regular Brandon Walters will take a provisional and will start 40th on the field.

The 41st and final starting spot is reserved for the Win and You’re In winner of the 25-lap Feature at Fulton Speedway tonight.

The final day of the 46th annual NAPA Super DIRT Week kicks off for the Big-Block Modifieds with the drivers meeting at 9 a.m. The top-30 qualifiers for the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 will partake in an autograph session located on the front-midway starting at 11:45 a.m.

Pre-race ceremonies for the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 is schedule for 1:30 p.m and the granddaddy of all Big-Block Modified races, the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 will go green at 2 p.m.
