LESSON LEARNED: Stewart Friesen Scores Hall of Fame 100 Victory at Weedsport
When the Super DIRTcar Series visited Weedsport Speedway in May, Stewart Friesen said he lost the race because his car was too good too early.
This time, he saved his tires until midway through the race, passing Jimmy Phelps on Lap 45 and leading the final 56 laps win the Hall of Fame 100.
“We’ve had really good cars here in the past few years, just really haven’t been good in the long-distance races,” Friesen said. “We worked on our stuff to be good at the end and not at the beginning and it worked out.”
