CONCORD, N.C. – November 5, 2015 – Peter Britten of Rochester, N.Y. and fifteen-year-old Max McLaughlin of Mooresville, N.C. won Pole Position Raceway Fast Time Awards in two separate time-trial sessions for Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway Thursday.
Britten turned the fastest lap (15.746) around the four-tenths oval in the qualifying session specific to Friday’s Bad Boy Buggies World Finals 40-lap main event. He went on to win his qualifying heat, which puts him in the Dig Safely NY Call 811 redraw along with Series point leader Matt Sheppard, Jimmy Phelps, Danny Johnson and Carey Terrance.
McLaughlin recorded the best time (15.897) in the round that will influence the starting line-up for Saturday’s Super DIRTcar Series finale at the wheel of the HBR Racing/J&B Installations No. 6.
