This Week Ahead: Super DIRTcar Series Heads Back to Canada
Makes their final trip of the year to Quebec

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – Sept. 7, 2016 – This weekend the Super DIRTcar Series makes their trek back into Canada. With all of the DIRTcar home track points rapped up for the 2016 season the series will now move to weekend racing. The series first stop will be on Friday, Sept. 9th at Le RPM Speedway and then on Saturday, Sept. 10th at Autodrome Drummond.
Friday night will be the Super DIRTcar Series first ever visit to Le RPM Speedway.
Mike Perrotte, DIRTcar North East Series Director, is looking forward to their first visit to Le RPM. “The fans up there are very enthusiastic and they know how to make us all feel welcome. We’re anticipating a huge crowd as we make our first trip to Le RPM Friday night.”
The series will be making their second visit this season to Autodrome Drummond this Saturday night. Their last visit was back on Tuesday, July 26th. It had been eight years since Frank Cozze had seen victory lane with the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds and on that night Cozze made it back to the winners circle. Cozze proved that he still has what it takes as he came from his 19th starting position to take home the win over Larry Wight and Mike Mahaney.
“This track is about as challenging as you’re going to get. I ran my butt off those 100 laps as best as I could,” said Cozze in victory lane.
Coming Up Next
After the Super DIRTcar Series takes on Canada they will be making their first appearance of the season at Brewerton Speedway in Brewerton, N.Y. on Friday, Sept. 16th and then back to Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y. for their third time this season on Saturday, Sept. 17th.
