Sponsors Increase Stakes at Brett Hearn’s ‘The Big Show III’ Tuesday night
Driver incentives added throughout Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified special
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – June 18, 2011 – Brett Hearn’s The Big Show III takes the green flag on Tuesday night at Orange County Fair Speedway, and track officials are excited to announce several special awards up for grabs throughout the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified action.
Defending Super DIRTcar Series Champion Matt Sheppard, future Hall of Famer Brett Hearn, and the rest of the all-star cast of drivers will not only compete for the top prize of $6,000, but they will also have an opportunity to receive bonus checks for winning heat races, leading at halfway in the main event or collecting the Hard Charger award.
Local track sponsors Johnston’s Toyota and G&T Auto Parts were the first to come on board as they will provide $500 to the driver leading at the midpoint of the A-main, and they will provide an additional $250 to Hard Charger.
“The local support for Brett Hearn and Orange County Fair Speedway is outstanding down here,” said DIRTcar Northeast Director of Marketing Jeff Hachmann. “It’s exciting to have partners who understand the value of the fans and drivers.”
With the momentum created by the halfway and Hard Charger awards already in place, Americana Diner, East Coast Speed Shop, Sharon’s Toy, Program Dynamics and M.J. Corigliano Towing stepped up to sponsor heat races and award $100 to each heat race winner. These additional awards will surely give every driver the opportunity to win and make every lap count.
The stage is clearly set for incredible night of racing action. Will current Orange County Fair Speedway points leader Tommy Meier steal the show from the Super DIRTcar Series regulars? Will defending Big Show champion Jimmy Phelps repeat? Will promoter Brett Hearn win his own race? All these questions will be answered Tuesday night at Orange County Fair Speedway as the stars and cars of the Super DIRTcar Series invade Middletown, N.Y., for what clearly will be the biggest ‘The Big Show’ ever.
