The Len Sammons Productions’ Motorsports 2009 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey attracted thousands of automotive enthusiasts over the past weekend, January 16-17, with DIRTcar Racing Northeast showcased on the brink of launching its 34th season of operation trackside in February.

Officials answered questions and discussed the upcoming season both Friday and Saturday with track promoters, sponsors, racers and fans alongside the familiar red Advance Auto Parts Series Support Trailer that was a focal point trackside during DIRTcar Northeast’s premier traveling show.

“Despite the economic conditions on everyone’s mind, there was quite a bit of traffic that came our way,” commented Cory Reed, DIRTcar Racing Northeast Director of Competition & Track Sanctioning, who was joined during the weekend by Bob Dini, Director of Technical Operations for DIRTcar Racing Northeast, and World of Outlaws Late Model Series PR Director Kevin Kovac.

“We talked to a number of racers and covered a lot ground with what we’re looking to accomplish this season. The atmosphere was remarkably upbeat and interest is already high among our fans and the teams ready to compete. The excitement will certainly continue to build as we prepare for the Florida DIRTcar Nationals and all the series action planned further north in 2009,” Reed added.
