Weedsport, NY — January 13, 2008 – By Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing NorthEast PR Director
The start of DIRTcar Racing’s 33rd season of operation is just over a month away yet racers can get an early introduction this weekend as the organization will be showcased in the upcoming Len Sammons Productions Motorsports 2008 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, N.J.
“A lot goes on at the office during the winter and this show is the first big opportunity to start building momentum for the season ahead,” said Cory Reed, DIRTcar Racing NorthEast Director of Competition & Track Sanctioning. “As we get closer to the DIRTcar Nationals in Florida the excitement grows with all the team information coming out. After that everything is geared up for the openers closer to home and we’ll be going every week for seven straight months. Staying busy in between with 20 tracks and a handful of Series isn’t too hard to do.”
The 23rd Annual Motorsports Expo is scheduled for January 18-20, with Reed joined by DIRTcar Racing NorthEast PR Director Tom Skibinski throughout the three-day affair. Currently lined up for display at the centrally located DIRTcar information booth is the immaculate blue & white Madsen Motorsports no. 20 Wentworth Custom Homes-Kruger-WLR/TEO entry steered by reigning Mr. DIRTcar Big-Block Modified champion Brett Hearn along with the black no. 41 Vince’s Automotive & Towing-Kochel Equipment/Bicknell Big-Block Modified driven by last year’s Rite Aid 200 rookie of the race Shawn Reimert for owner Vince Gagliardo Sr.
At the DIRTcar display company officials will be ready to answer questions and discuss the upcoming season with track promoters, sponsors, racers and their fans. Plenty of videos from the recently completed race season will be stocked in the booth, where teammates can fill out an official 2008 DIRTcar License application form, learn about ‘08 rule book updates, pick up major series race schedules and obtain the latest press information.
