Long-time DIRTcar Racing NorthEast promotional partner Dig Safely New York has gotten an early jump on the upcoming race season as it recently became the newest associate sponsor of the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series.
Dig Safely will have a strong presence throughout the 23-event Advance Series scheduled in 2008, securing naming rights for the consolation round which will now be recognized as the ‘Dig Safely New York Last Chance Race.’
“Over the years DIRTcar Racing has been able to assist us with our marketing program that continues to encourage safe digging practices,” commented former Dig Safely New York Operations Manager Larry Bishop, who has helped solidify company support of the DIRTcar circuit for more than a decade. Last autumn DSNY was a big hit during Super DIRT Week, sponsoring the Rite Aid 200 Big-Block Modified last-chance qualifier as well as halfway lap leader awards in both Sportsman and Pro stock Championship races. Dig Safely also sponsors select race nights at Canandaigua, Cayuga County, Rolling Wheels and Can-Am speedways.

Dig Safely is expected to have a field representative in attendance at the majority of Advance Auto Parts Series races. DSNY will be providing carry bags filled with plenty of promotional items for every Dig Safely New York Last Chance Race winner, with a special photo shoot of the winner taking place in victory lane.
Established in 1968, Dig Safely New York remains a not-for-profit group whose membership includes volunteers from over 1,300 underground facility owners comprised of utilities, municipalities and private operators. It serves all of New York State with the exception of New York City and Long Island.
The mission is simple — Prevent damages to underground facilities and protect the public through education and quality communication with excavators, underground facility operators and designers in an efficient, courteous and cost effective manner while complying with governing regulations.
