The 2008 Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series opener, 7th Annual North-South Shootout at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway on Saturday, March 22 is just three days away.

Commemorating the 10th straight season of Series partnership with Advance Auto Parts based in Roanoke, Virginia, those top-10 drivers on the Advance Auto Parts Series all-time Big-Block Modified feature win list will be highlighted for each of the 10 days leading up to the event.

This all-star cast of drivers has accounted for 416 feature race victories from the list of 66 drivers taking checkered flags in 593 tour events held at 44 speedways around the Northeast since 1980. The elite group of 10 drivers has amassed 26 overall Mr. DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Championships and at least half are expected to compete full-time with the ’08 Advance Series, beginning with the lid-lid-lifter at Hagerstown.

A back-to-back overall Mr. DIRTcar Big-Block Champion in 1994-95, Bob McCreadie owns 51 career extra-distance Series wins to stand third on the all-time list. DIRTcar Racing NorthEast’s all-time Most Popular Driver, the Watertown, New York legend is both a Syracuse Rite Aid 200 and Orange County Fair Speedway Eastern States 200 champion.

An Advance Auto Parts Series regular during the 1980s & ‘90s, McCreadie registered his last tour triumph at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park on September 4, 2000. He won a career-best nine Series events in 1994, the same year he set DIRTcar Racing’s single-season standard of 43 Big-Block victories. Among ‘Barefoot’s’ biggest accomplishments are three straight Rolling Wheels National 200 victories, with double-century grinds also copped at Cayuga County (3), Fonda (2), Canandaigua and Lebanon Valley speedways.

In his career competing in the ‘North-South Shootout’ at Hagerstown Speedway, McCreadie qualified for the first four of six main events and finished runner-up in the 2002 edition.
