Brachmann Locks Up Final Syracuse Spot with ‘Win & You’re In’ Victory

ELBRIDGE, N.Y. — Oct. 8, 2011 — For the third time in the past four years, Chad Brachmann captured the “Win & You’re In” DIRTcar Big-Block Modified special event on Saturday night at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park, earning him the 44th and final position for Sunday’s Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified SEF Small Engine Fuel 200 Presented by Ferris & Snapper at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

“I just look forward to coming to Rolling Wheels to race,” said Brachmann, of North Tonawanda, N.Y. “It’s hard to get into the race at Syracuse. It’s hard to prepare a car for Syracuse. This is just an awesome way to get into the track. I can’t thank DIRTcar enough for giving us this opportunity.”

Josh Hohenforst started the 25-lap event from the pole and pressured Brachmann early before eventually settling for second ahead of Mike Bowman, Steve Paine and Chuck Bower.

The event was run in conjunction with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series “STP Shootout” that saw series points leader Jason Meyers capture the checkered flag.
