Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series Returns to Eldora Speedway July 19-20, 2016
Series then takes on Sharon Speedway July 21 in Hartford, Ohio
CONCORD, N.C. – Nov. 12, 2015 – The Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series will return to Eldora Speedway in 2016 for the first time in a decade.
The series takes on the historic half-mile track in Rossburg, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 19, and Wednesday, July 20. The Big-Block Modifieds will run a full series points event on Tuesday and an invitational event on Wednesday when it joins the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
“After a decade absence we are excited to return to Eldora Speedway for two big days of heart-stopping, ground-pounding action with the Big-Block Modifieds from the Super DIRTcar Series,” said Super DIRTcar Series Series Director Mike Perrotte.
The series last competed at Eldora in August 2006. It was the third trip for the series to the track. That night, Tim Fuller battled Billy Decker for the win. Fuller joined Brett Hearn and Danny Johnson as Eldora’s only Super DIRTcar Series winners.
“These two days are an incredible opportunity to see one of the premier dirt racing series in the country share the stage with one of the premier asphalt series in the country at the legendary half mile,” said DIRTcar Northeast General Manager Jeff Hachmann.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 14, 2015, and are available by visiting www.EldoraSpeedway.com.
Before returning to the Northeast, the Super DIRTcar Series will continue its run through Ohio with a trip to the half-mile Sharon Speedway on Thursday, July 21. The event adds to the already rich history of Big-Block Modified racing at the Hartford, Ohio-track.
