With weather models showing heavy rain and thunderstorms Tuesday evening at Autodrome Drummond, Super DIRTcar Series and track officials have canceled the King of the North finale.

The event will not be made up, as Series and track officials could not find a viable date to reschedule.

Drivers will now turn their attention to their return to Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY, for Thunder in the Adirondacks on Wednesday, July 22.

After his win on Monday, Alex Yankowski holds a 51-point lead over Mat Williamson entering Wednesday’s race, with both drivers searching for their first Series win at Airborne. They’ll have to contend with Super DIRTcar Series rivals and track regulars Mike Mahaney, who’s won the last four Features at the track, and Felix Roy, from nearby Napierville, QC.
