Keep up with the chase for the 2024 Super DIRTcar Series championship.

LATEST RACES: Weedsport Speedway (May 26)

Current Points Leader: With a second-place finish at Weedsport Speedway on Sunday – his career best at the track – Peter Britten broke the tie with Anthony Perrego to sit alone at the top of the standings for the first time in his career.

The Brisbane, QLD driver has a three-point cushion over Perrego entering next week’s Pennsylvania swing.

Movers:

Anthony Perrego (-1): The Montgomery, NY driver dropped a spot in the standings after Weedsport despite finishing fourth in the Heroes Remembered 100.

He remains one of two drivers to finish in the top five in both championship season races in 2024 and has a chance to reclaim the top spot when the Series returns to Big Diamond—a race he won in 2023.

Mat Williamson (+4): “Money” Mat vaulted four spots in the standings to third after his second consecutive Heroes Remembered 100 triumph over the weekend. The St. Catharines, ON driver sits 11 points behind Britten and has a 14-point cushion over Matt Sheppard, who’s currently fourth in points.

Jimmy Phelps (+4): After a ninth-place finish at New Egypt, Phelps’ sixth at Weedsport was enough to move him into the top five. The “Baldwinsville Bandit” is 28 points out of the lead and three points behind Sheppard in fourth.

Darren Smith (-3): Smith’s 16th-place finish on Sunday dropped him three spots in the standings to sixth. The Binghamton, NY driver is sixth points behind Phelps for fifth entering Big Diamond Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway next week.

Tim Sears Jr. (+9): After finishing 16th at New Egypt, Sears bounced back at Weedsport, earning a ninth-place finish. That run vaulted him nine spots in the Super DIRTcar Series standings, where he’s now tied with Danny Johnson for seventh.

Mike Mahaney (+10): This week’s most significant jump in the standings was Mike Mahaney. The Elizabethtown, NY driver rose 10 positions, rebounding with an eighth-place finish after finishing 19th at New Egypt.
