LATEST RACES: Ransomville Speedway (Aug. 20)

Current Points Leader: With a runner-up finish in the Ron Martin Summer Nationals at Ransomville, along with bonus points from a Heat Race win and Billy Whittaker Cars and Trux Quick Time Award, Matt Sheppard extended his points lead to 34 over Mat Williamson.

Sheppard’s second is his fifth consecutive top five finish and 10th in 12 points-paying Features. 

Movers:

Jack Lehner (+2): Jack Lehner moved up two spots to seventh in the Series standings after a fourth at Ransomville. He trails Rookie of the Year leader Alex Payne by 45 points for sixth. 

Darren Smith (-1): With an 18th in the Ron Martin Summer Nationals, Darren Smith dropped into a tie for seventh with Lehner. The tiebreaker in the standings is the most recent finish, giving Lehner the position.

Larry Wight (-1): Larry Wight also dropped a spot in the standings to ninth after finishing 20th at Ransomville. The Phoenix, NY driver is four points behind Lehner and Smith for seventh.

Danny Johnson (+1): For the first time in 2024, Danny Johnson has entered the top 10 in Super DIRTcar Series points. With a 10th at Ransomville, “The Doctor” has finished in the top 10 in four of the last five Series events.
