LATEST RACES: Land of Legends Raceway (July 4)

Current Points Leader: With his third win in the last four races, Mat Williamson extended his Series points lead to 15 over Matt Sheppard. The St. Catharines, ON driver has finished on the podium in all five points-paying events this year.

Movers:

Matt Sheppard (+1): With his third consecutive podium finish, the 10-time defending champion moved up to second in the standings. He’s 13 points behind Williamson in his quest for a record 11th title.

Anthony Perrego (-1): Despite a fifth-place finish at Land of Legends, Perrego dropped a spot to third. The Montgomery, NY driver is 19 points behind Williamson for first and four points behind Sheppard for second.

Alex Payne (+1): For the second consecutive race, Alex Payne moved up the Super DIRTcar Series standings. After a sixth-place finish at Land of Legends, the leading Rookie of the Year contender moved to seventh in points, 101 points behind Williamson.

Larry Wight (+1): Wight’s charge from 19th to seventh in the Stars and Stripes 76 moved him back to ninth in the standings. “Lightning Larry” is 122 points out of first and 19 points behind Darren Smith for ninth.

Mike Mahaney (-1): Even though Mahaney earned a 10th-place finish at Land of Legends, he dropped a spot in the standings to 10th. “Smooth Shoe” is three points behind Wight for ninth.
