Current Points Leader: Despite two top fives last week, Matt Sheppard’s points lead shrunk after Mat Williamson’s victory in the R.D. Hutchinson Memorial at Can-Am. The Waterloo, NY driver holds a 31-point lead over Williamson with seven races left in the 2024 season.
Movers:
Tim Sears Jr. (+1): With a fourth at Brockville and a third at Can-Am, Tim Sears Jr. jumped to third in the Series standings. The Hastings, NY driver has seven top fives in the last 10 Series Features and holds a seven-point lead over Jimmy Phelps for third.
Jimmy Phelps (-1): Phelps earned a fifth at Brockville and a 13th at Can-Am, dropping him to fourth in points. While the “Baldwinsville Bandit” is only seven points behind Sears, he’s only one point ahead of Anthony Perrego, who scored two top fives last week.
Felix Roy (+3): A sixth at Brockville and an eighth at Can-Am vaulted 2023 Super DIRTcar Series Rookie of the Year Felix Roy three spots to ninth.
He’ll have the chance to improve his standing again at Albany-Saratoga for Malta Massive Weekend, entering the event two points behind Darren Smith for eighth and six points behind Jack Lehner for seventh.
Mike Mahaney (+1): Mike Mahaney returned to the top 10 after a ninth at Brockville and an 11th at Can-Am. “Smooth Shoe” enters Albany-Saratoga 22 points behind Roy for ninth and can improve his position at the track where he scored his first two Series victories.
