One of the busiest weeks of the season for the Super DIRTcar Series is up next, as the Beasts of the Northeast prepare for four races in five nights.

First, the Series returns to Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, NY, on Saturday, July 26, for the Hall of Fame 100. A $10,000 prize is on the line in a 100-lap Feature. The event serves as the first of three consecutive Super DIRT Week 53 Qualifiers.

TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NOW

The Super DIRTcar Series’ visit to Weedsport is night one of the track’s Empire State Challenge Weekend, which features the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series in action on Sunday, July 27 – along with DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds.

After Weedsport, the Series heads to Canada for three nights, starting with the two-night King of the North at Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, QC, July 28-29. Both races in Quebec will be 75 laps, paying $10,000-to-win and offering a guaranteed starting spot in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200.

Finishing off the trip is the first of two stops in 2025 at Brockville Ontario Speedway in Brockville, ON, on Wednesday, July 30, for the Canadian Classic. Drivers will battle for 75-laps in a Feature paying $7,500-to-win.

If you can’t make it to a Super DIRTcar Series event, watch all the action live on DIRTVision, either online or with the DIRTVision app.

Here’s a look at What to Watch For at Weedsport, Drummond, and Brockville:

A Super Opportunity: Along with a $10,000 prize, the Hall of Fame 100 at Weedsport and both King of the North Features at Drummond will offer a guaranteed starting spot in the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 during Super DIRT Week 53 (Oct. 6-11) at Oswego Speedway.

Defending race winner Stewart Friesen and Mario Clair have already punched their tickets to “Racing’s Biggest Party,” and will be joined by three more drivers over the next week.

If either Friesen or Clair wins one of the next three Features, the guaranteed starting spot goes to the next driver in the finishing order who isn’t locked in.

Here are the remaining Super DIRT Week Qualifiers in 2025:
Weedsport Speedway (July 26 and Sept. 6)
Autodrome Drummond (July 28 and July 29)
Sharon Speedway (Aug. 11)
Lebanon Valley Speedway (Aug. 28)

Albany-Saratoga Speedway (Sept. 20)

Four Points Apart: Entering Saturday’s race at Weedsport, points leader Alex Yankowski and defending Series champion Mat Williamson are separated by four points.

Williamson enters the race with momentum after earning his first Series win of 2025 at Land of Legends Raceway earlier this month. The St. Catharines, ON driver has won three of his last five Super DIRTcar Series starts at Weedsport. He also earned a DIRTcar 358 Modified Series win there three weeks ago.

Mat Williamson

Along with Weedsport, “Money Mat” has found success at Drummond. Despite not reaching Victory Lane, he’s finished in the top 10 in all six of his starts at the “F1 of Dirt,” with his best finish (second) coming on night one of last year’s King of the North.

At Brockville, Williamson has four top fives and six top 10s in seven Series starts, including three third-place finishes.

The defending Series champion will have an experience advantage over Yankowski, who hasn’t raced at Drummond or Brockville. The Covington Township, PA driver has made two starts at Weedsport and finished eighth in May’s Heroes Remembered 100.

“Kid Rocket” is the only driver to finish in the top 10 in all nine points-paying events this season.

Beating the Freeze: Whether it’s at Weedsport or any other track across the Northeast, Friesen has been the driver to beat in Super DIRTcar Series events in 2025.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON driver enters the weekend with four wins, four top fives, and five top 10s in six points-paying starts this season. That also includes his win in the Heroes Remembered 100 in May.

Friesen has won the last two Series events at Weedsport and seven overall. A win on Saturday would be his 52nd career Series triumph.

Chasing 100: Matt Sheppard’s quest for his 100th Series victory continues into this weekend’s Hall of Fame 100 at Weedsport, a place where he’s won eight Series Features.

Tim Sears Jr. and Matt Sheppard

However, if it doesn’t happen on Saturday night, the 10-time Series champion has a chance to reach that milestone at the track where he won his first Super DIRTcar Series Feature. The Waterloo, NY driver won at Drummond for the first time in 2004 and is the most recent Series winner at the track after his thrilling Victory over Tim Sears Jr. last year.

“Super Matt” enters the four-race swing fourth in the points standings, 84 points behind Yankowski.

Excited For Canada: Sears and Alex Payne are two drivers who are excited to return to Drummond and Brockville after earning their best finishes of the season at these two tracks in 2024.

Payne finished fifth and third at Drummond, before scoring his first career Super DIRTcar Series win later in the season at Brockville. The Hopewell, NY driver also narrowly missed out on a win at Weedsport earlier this year, leading 38 laps before a flat tire cost him a chance to win.

He enters the weekend fifth in points, five points behind Sheppard.

Sears, meanwhile, finished third and second at Drummond, before finishing fourth in last year’s Canadian Classic at Brockville.

A driver they’ll both contend with is Erick Rudolph, who is currently third in the Series points standings, 59 points behind Yankowski. The Ransomville, NY driver is a three-time winner at Drummond, scoring victories in 2014, 2019, and 2023.

He also has two Series wins at Brockville and Weedsport, proving he knows the path to Victory Lane at all three facilities.

Quebec Ready: Two stops at Drummond mean a stout group of Quebec stars will battle in their home province, including Super DIRTcar Series fan favorite Felix Roy.

“Hollywood” earned his first Big Block win at Drummond earlier this year and aims to back that up with his first Super DIRTcar Series win next week. In four Series starts at the 1/2-mile track, he’s finished either sixth or eighth.

Other Quebec stars in action include Clair, Michael Parent, David Hebert, and Samuel Charland.

Parent broke a 22-year drought last season at Drummond, becoming the first Quebec driver to win a Super DIRTcar Series race at the track since Steve Poirier in 2002. The Granby, QC driver has made three Series starts at the track, with his win being the only finish inside the top 10.

Clair earned his first Series win earlier this season in the O’Canada 100 at Cornwall Motor Speedway last month. At Drummond, he’s made 25 Series starts, with his best finish an eighth in 2013.

Charland may have the most momentum out of the Quebec stars entering this weekend. The Victoriaville, QC driver has won two of the three Modified Features at the track this season. He also earned a top 10 at Cornwall, finishing sixth in the O’Canada 100. He’s aiming to make his third Series start at Drummond on Monday.

Along with Clair, Hebert has the most experience of this group at Drummond but has yet to reach Victory Lane at the track with the Super DIRTcar Series. The St. Damase, QC driver has made 24 Series starts at the 1/2-mile track, earning seven top fives and 13 top 10s.

Those numbers include a top five in three of the last four starts, with back-to-back seconds in 2023.
