BARBERVILLE, FL – February 16, 2019 – After a breathless week of incredible Super DIRTcar Series action, Stewart Friesen held off Gypsum Racing teammates Larry Wight and Billy Decker to win the 50-lap DIRTcar Nationals finale. Friesen outran Larry Wight on a green, white, checkered flag restart, but Wight tallied enough points to capture the Gator Championship. Billy Decker, who won the first round of DIRTcar Nationals Big-Block Modified competition, ran well enough to round out the podium.

Early race leader Matt Sheppard was initially overtaken by two Gypsum Racing cars, but managed to get back around the veteran pilot of the No. 42P, Pat Ward to retake second place. Pole-sitter Peter Britten challenged for a podium, running the high side as well, but was forced to settle for fourth.
BARBERVILLE, FL – February 14, 2019 – There was love for dirt racing in the air at Volusia Speedway Park this Valentine’s Day, as a tremendous crowd watched three super-powered heroes battle it out for the top spot of the Super DIRTcar Series 30-lap Feature podium. Super Matt Sheppard, from Watertown, NY, triumphed over Mr. Freeze Stewart Friesen, and Batman Peter Britten. Sheppard made a late two-for-one pass in turn two for his first win of 2019 with a new car, a new set up, and a new engine. The 30-lap thriller featured multiple lead changes, with four different leaders including the top three and Jessey Mueller who fell back to finish sixth.

Wight and Pauch ran side-by-side for nearly half the race while trying to run down Decker.
