Weedsport, NYMay 26, 2009 – By Tom Skibinski, Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series PR Director

The ‘Battle of Plattsburgh’ presented by Hynes Electric and Northline Utilities at Airborne Speedway on June 7 marks the return to pavement for the nation’s premier Big-Block Modified tour.

Although its been 17 years since an Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series points race was last staged on asphalt, veteran racers like Brett Hearn, Danny Johnson, Frank Cozze and defending overall Mr. DIRTcar Champion Billy Decker still know how to get around on a smooth, black oval. Especially when a $6,000 top prize awaits the winner of the 100-lap feature race finale slated for Sunday evening.

As the special event at Airborne will be the lone Advance Series stop on asphalt in 2009, the DIRTcar Rule Book will be in effect along with the following exceptions.
