With the World of Outlaws World Finals Friday Qualifying paused by rain on Wednesday, the remaining qualifying sessions for the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models and Super DIRTcar Series have been moved to Friday.
The Late Models and Big Block Modifieds will run full qualifying programs on Friday before the already scheduled Friday program, which also includes the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars.
Qualifying for Thursday was completed for all three divisions. Qualifying for Friday was underway, having already completed both sessions for the Sprint Cars already, when the rain fell.
The decision was made with keeping the best interest in mind of the more than 100 competitors between the Late Models and Big Block Modifieds.
Friday’s on-track action will start with World of Outlaws Late Model Sea Foam Qualifying at 3 p.m. (ET), followed by Super DIRTcar Series Qualifying. Opening ceremonies are still scheduled for 4 p.m.
Thursday’s schedule remains unchanged with opening ceremonies scheduled for 4 p.m.
Chris Madden earned the Simpson Quick Time Award for Thursday’s World of Outlaws Late Model program, and Anthony Perrego earned the Billy Whittaker Cars Quick Time Award for Thursday’s Super DIRTcar Series program.
Current World of Outlaws Sprint Car points leader David Gravel set Simpson Quick Time for Thursday and Friday.
