Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each Super DIRTcar Series event? Series Announcer Mike Warren will bring you his top-five picks each week.
This week: Canadian Classic at Brockville Ontario Speedway.
MIKE’S TOP FIVE:
Matt Sheppard
Why: “Super Matt” enters the Canadian Classic on a hot streak after two straight victories at Autodrome Drummond. Over the past two seasons, he’s knocked on the door of wins at Brockville, finishing third last year and second in 2023.
Alex Payne
Why: Payne is the defending winner of the Canadian Classic, holding off Sheppard and Anthony Perrego for his first career Super DIRTcar Series win. He’s also coming off two straight top fives at Drummond.
Mat Williamson
Why: While he doesn’t have a Super DIRTcar Series win at Brockville, Mat Williamson has been successful in his 358 Modified at the track. After two seconds in the last three races, Williamson is aiming for his second win of the season.
Tim Sears Jr.
Why: With two top fives at Drummond, Tim Sears Jr. is getting back on track and gaining momentum entering the Canadian Classic. In two Series starts at Brockville, he’s never finished outside the top 10 with a fourth and ninth. He also has a DIRTcar Sportsman Series win at the track.
Tim Fuller
Why: When the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Famer rolls into Brockville Ontario Speedway, he’s always a threat to bring home the victory. He scored the inaugural Canadian Classic win two years ago, holding off Sheppard for the win.
You can follow these drivers and more at Brockville Ontario Speedway on July 30. Tickets are available at the gate.
