Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each Super DIRTcar Series event? Series Announcer Mike Warren will bring you his five drivers to keep an eye on each race weekend.
This week: King of the North at Autodrome Drummond, July 28-29
MIKE’S FIVE:
Stewart Friesen
Why: While he doesn’t have a Super DIRTcar Series victory at Autodrome Drummond, Friesen has been on a hot streak in 2025. He has a lot of momentum after his fifth Series win of 2025 over the weekend.
Matt Sheppard
Why: After a third-place finish on Saturday, the 10-time champion has momentum coming to a track he’s been very successful at in his career. The Waterloo, NY driver has seven wins at Drummond, including last year’s finale.
Alex Payne
Why: The 2024 Series Rookie of the Year earned two of his best three finishes at Drummond last year, reaching the podium on the second night of King of the North last season. The Hopewell, NY driver has quietly racked up consistent finishes as of late and aims to use his momentum from last year to earn his second career Series win.
Felix Roy
Why: It’s his only two chances to race in his home province with the Super DIRTcar Series in 2025, which will give him a chip on his shoulder during both events. He also won the only Big Block Feature at the track this season.
Mat Williamson
Why: Like Friesen, he’s winless in Super DIRTcar Series events at the track. But “Money Mat” and the Buzz Chew Racing team have been consistent as of late, and finished second at Drummond on night one last season.
You can follow these drivers and more at Autodrome Drummond, July 28-29, by getting your tickets at the gate.
