Oswego, NY will transform into Racing’s Biggest Party in October. Not only at Oswego Speedway, but throughout the city.

Super DIRT Week returns to Oswego, Oct. 6-11, with the best drivers from the Northeast’s biggest series, including the Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar 358 Modified Series, DIRTcar Sportsman Series, and DIRTcar Pro Stock Series.

Along with the on-track action, which runs Wednesday through Saturday, the marquee event is bringing fans an array of entertainment throughout the week – most of it for free.

Race fans and Oswego residents will get to party for free from Sunday to Wednesday (Oct. 5-8), starting with the annual Super DIRT Week Kick Off party at Lighthouse Lanes at 6 p.m. (in front of Oswego Speedway) with free food and specials throughout the night.

On Monday morning, drivers and race fans will participate in the Super DIRT Week Charity Golf Tournament presented by John and Laura Wight, Gypsum Express, and Weedsport Productions, which will benefit the Ronald McDonald House this year. Then, the popular Quarter Midget & Microd Mania returns for the third straight year Monday night, featuring the future stars of the sport racing in the infield of Oswego Speedway. The event is free for spectators to attend with Feature racing scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

New on Tuesday, Super DIRT Week has teamed with the City of Oswego and Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce by CenterSate to bring Racing’s Biggest Block Party to downtown Oswego. From 4 to 8 p.m. on West 1st Street, between Bridge and Oneida Streets, there will be music, food, race cars, an autograph session, and a special ceremony to honor 2024 Super DIRT Week Billy Whittaker Cars 200 champion Stewart Friesen with the raising of his championship flag at City Hall.

Wednesday commences the racing action for the week, but before the cars hit the racetrack, they’ll parade around the streets of the City of Oswego at noon. Then, the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Pro Stocks highlight the night’s activities with Time Trials and Qualifying Heats.

The Super DIRTcar Series and DIRTcar Sportsman will take their turn to Time Trial and race their way into the weekend’s main events through the Qualifying Heats on Thursday.

Friday presents the first set of main Features for the week, with the DIRTcar Pro Stock I Love NY 50, starting at 3 p.m., and DIRTcar 358 Modified Salute to the Troops 150, starting at 6:30 p.m.

That leads to the grand finale – the DIRTcar Sportsman Great Lakes 75, and the Super DIRTcar Series Billy Whittaker Cars 200. But, before the Features, fans will get to meet the top 30 starters of the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 during an autograph session in the midway at 1 p.m.

The Billy Whittaker Cars 200 presents the biggest payday in the history of the event this year with a $53,000 top prize. Stewart Friesen made history last year by winning the famed race for the sixth time, tying legendary Big Block Modified driver Brett Hearn for the most wins in the event.

The biggest names in the sport will be vying to add their name to the winner’s list, either again or for the first time, such as two-time and reigning Super DIRTcar Series champion Mat Williamson, 10-time Series champion Matt Sheppard, 2025 DIRTcar Nationals Big Gator Champion Alex Yankowski, Alex Payne, Jimmy Phelps, Peter Britten, Anthony Perrego, and more.

The Great Lakes 75 will start at 3 p.m. and the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 will start at 6:30 p.m. A fireworks show will follow at the end of the night.

Gates open at noon on Wednesday and Thursday and then at 11 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
