A visit 16 years in the making is on tap for the Super DIRTcar Series this weekend, as it makes its triumphant return to Delaware.

The Beasts of the Northeast will highlight Georgetown Speedway’s Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend with the Delaware Diamond 75 on Saturday, Nov. 1. Drivers will battle in a 75-lap Feature paying $12,075-to-win, which serves as the final stop on the way to North Carolina for the World of Outlaws World Finals.

TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NOW

Joining the Super DIRTcar Series at Georgetown are the track’s Sportsman and Charger divisions, along with the Southern Delaware Racing Club.

If you can’t make it to the track, watch all the action live on DIRTVision, either online or with the DIRTVision app.

Here’s a look at what to watch for at Georgetown:

Holding the Top: With four races remaining in the 2025 season, Mat Williamson is closing in on his second consecutive Super DIRTcar Series title, and third overall. The St. Catharines, ON driver enters the weekend with a 98-point lead in the Series standings over Alex Yankowski and has momentum after winning at Super DIRT Week 53 at Oswego Speedway and Brockville Ontario Speedway.

Mat Williamson and Darren Smith

Williamson has made four career starts at Georgetown, earning a victory in 2022 and two fifth-place finishes in 2024.

In 22 Super DIRTcar Series points-paying starts this season, Williamson has finished in the top 10 in 21 of them and has finished in the top five in eight of the last 10 Series events. A win this weekend for “Money Mat” will be his 36th career Series triumph.

Middletown Momentum: While the Super DIRTcar Series was off last weekend, three full-time drivers grabbed momentum after earning wins at Orange County Fair Speedway.

Yankowski, who enters the weekend second in points, scored the biggest victory of his career by winning the Eastern States 200. That victory comes as he heads to a place he’s been successful at.

The Covington Township, PA driver has two wins at Georgetown and hasn’t finished outside the top five in his last eight starts at the Delaware track, including seven podiums. “Kid Rocket” is searching for his fifth career Series victory.

Matt Sheppard, meanwhile, earned a win at Orange County in the Hard Clay Open last Thursday. Like Yankowski, he’s been successful at Georgetown. The 10-time Series champion has five wins at the 1/2-mile track and has only finished outside the top 10 twice in 23 starts at the track. A win this weekend for Sheppard will be his 103rd Super DIRTcar Series victory.

The third driver with momentum from Orange County is Anthony Perrego, who won the 358 Modified Feature during Eastern States Weekend. The Montgomery, NY driver is a four-time winner at Georgetown, which includes two victories in 2024.

The “Ant-Man” is searching for his second win of the season, after winning the Steel Valley 75 at Sharon Speedway in August.

Aiming For a Podium: After a second-place finish at Brockville Ontario Speedway, Alex Payne is closing in on a podium position in the Super DIRTcar Series standings.

Heading into the Delaware Diamond 75, the Hopewell, NY driver is 12 points behind Sheppard for third. The difference between the two positions in the final standings is $5,000, with whoever finishes third earning $20,000, and whoever finishes fourth getting $15,000.

Payne has yet to make a start at Georgetown in his career, but has finished in the top five in three of his last five Super DIRTcar Series starts.

Best of Georgetown: While the Super DIRTcar Series stars have a mix of experience at Georgetown, there’s a stout group of track regulars that will try to win the Delaware Diamond 75.

Billy Pauch Jr., H.J. Bunting and Alex Yankowski

Billy Pauch Jr. won the track championship at Georgetown this year, earning four wins, seven top fives and eight top 10s in nine starts. It’ll be the Frenchtown, NJ driver’s second points-paying appearance of the 2025 season, after finishing seventh at Big Diamond Speedway in June.

The winner of that race at Big Diamond, Ryan Godown, will also join the Super DIRTcar Series at Georgetown on Saturday. The Ringoes, NJ driver won three of his six starts at the “First State” track this season and only finished outside the top five once. Godown is searching for his third career Super DIRTcar Series victory.

Two other track winners expected to be at Georgetown on Saturday are Jordan Watson and Brandon Grosso. Each of them reached Victory Lane once at Georgetown this year and is searching for their first career Series win.
