As the leaves change from green to orange, the Super DIRTcar Series prepares for its most prestigious event of 2025 and a return to Canada in October.

Super DIRT Week 53 at Oswego Speedway kicks off the Series’ October calendar with the Billy Whittaker Cars 200, before the Series returns to Brockville Ontario Speedway for the track’s Fall Nationals.

Here’s a look at what’s coming up:

Oswego Speedway | Billy Whittaker Cars 200 (Oct. 11)

The first stop in October marks the biggest event on the 2025 schedule, as the Super DIRTcar Series returns to Super DIRT Week 53 at Oswego Speedway for the Billy Whittaker Cars 200.

In last season’s event, Stewart Friesen led every lap and held off a late charge by Jimmy Phelps to win his sixth ‘200,’ tying Brett Hearn for the most event wins all-time.

While Friesen won’t compete this season due to injury, Alex Yankowski will drive the Halmar-Friesen Racing No. 44 at Oswego. “Kid Rocket” will have to fend off challenges from three-time Billy Whittaker Cars 200winners Mat Williamson and Matt Sheppard, along with Larry Wight and Billy Dunn, who’ve also won the crown jewel event.

The 200-lap Feature will pay $53,000 to the winner.

Along with the on-track action, there will be several activities throughout the week for fans to enjoy. That starts on Sunday, Oct. 6, with the annual Super DIRT Week kickoff party at Lighthouse Lanes, featuring free food and drink specials.

A new feature at this year’s edition of the event is “Racing’s Biggest Block Party” in downtown Oswego from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7. on West First Street, between Bridge and Oneida Streets. Fans who stop by can enjoy music, food, race cars, an autograph session, and a special ceremony to honor Friesen for last year’s win.

Concerts and DJ’s will also fill-up the week, giving fans the option to take part in activities every day throughout the week.
