LATEST RACES: Thunder Mountain Speedway (July 9)

Current Points Leader: With a runner-up finish at Thunder Mountain, Mat Williamson extended his Series points lead to 18 points over Matt Sheppard. The St. Catharines, ON competitor is the only driver to finish on the podium in all six championship season events in 2024. 

Movers:  

Jimmy Phelps (+1): After winning on Tuesday at Thunder Mountain, Jimmy Phelps moved to fourth in the Series standings – 35 points behind Williamson. The Baldwinsville, NY driver’s second consecutive podium puts him two points behind Perrego for third. 

Peter Britten (-1): With a 15th-place finish in The Natural 77, Britten dropped to fifth in the standings. The Aussie is 53 points out of first and 18 points behind Phelps for fourth. 

Darren Smith (+1): By finishing 14th on Tuesday, the defending Thunder Mountain track champion reclaimed the seventh spot in the Series standings. The Binghamton, NY driver is 130 points behind Williamson.

Alex Payne (-1): Payne’s 18th-place finish at Thunder Mountain drops him a spot in the standings to eighth. The Hopewell, NY driver, who leads the Rookie of the Year standings, is seven points behind Smith but only three points ahead of Larry Wight and Mike Mahaney, who are tied for 10th.
