After a 30-race season, the Super DIRTcar Series drivers gathered one more time at the Marriott in Syracuse to celebrate their 2025 accomplishments.

For the second consecutive year, Mat Williamson was honored for winning the Super DIRTcar Series championship, a feat he accomplished for the third time. Along with Williamson, the other 15 full-time Super DIRTcar Series drivers were recognized for their efforts in 2025.

2025 Champion: For the second consecutive season and third time in six years, Mat Williamson was honored as the Super DIRTcar Series champion.

The St. Catharines, ON driver took home $60,000 for winning the title on the heels of one of the most consistent seasons in Series history.

Counting all events in 2025, Williamson finished in the top 10 in 29 of the 30 Features dating back to Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals in February. “Money Mat” finished the year with five wins, including his fourth Billy Whittaker Cars 200 triumph at Oswego Speedway during Super DIRT Week 53.

Along with his championship winnings, Williamson was was honored as the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series champion and Hoosier Racing Tire Weekly Championship in the DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds.

Bryon Chew, Buzz’s son, accepted the owner’s championship trophy for Buzz Chew Racing.

Alex Yankowski (2nd place): Pennsylvania driver Alex Yankowski finished second to Williamson in 2025, earning a victory at Volusia Speedway Park in February and another at Can-Am Speedway in September.

He also earned the “Big Gator” trophy at DIRTcar Nationals, narrowly beating out Williamson for his first Florida title.

“Kid Rocket” took home $35,000 for his efforts and said he’s already in the shop to try and beat the No. 88 in 2026.

Alex Payne (3rd place): Alex Payne took a massive jump in the Series standings in 2025, finishing third in just his second season on tour after finishing seventh in 2024.

The Hopewell, NY driver earned three wins at Brockville, Ontario Speedway, Georgetown Speedway, and The Dirt Track at Charlotte, and had eight podium finishes, leading to his best Series finish and a $20,000 check.

Matt Sheppard (4th place): Matt Sheppard finished fourth in the final Super DIRTcar Series standings this season and earned more wins than any other driver along the way. The 10-time Series champion scored victories at Volusia Speedway Park, Thunder Mountain Speedway, Autodrome Drummond (2), Albany-Saratoga Speedway, and Charlotte to earn six victories, including his 100th Super DIRTcar Series win at Drummond on night two of King of the North.

“Super Matt” finished the season with 12 top fives and 17 top 10s.

Erick Rudolph (5th place): Erick Rudolph returned to the Super DIRTcar Series in 2025 and ended the season in fifth. The Ransomville, NY driver got off to a hot start by winning the finale at Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals. He also proved he was a threat in every Feature, passing more cars than anyone else (165) throughout the year.

Mike Mahaney (6th place): Despite going winless in 2025, Mike Mahaney put together a consistent season by finishing sixth in the final Series standings. The Elizabethtown, NY driver earned seven top fives and 16 top 10s, including a trip to the podium at Weedsport Speedway in May.

Jimmy Phelps (7th place): After missing the top 10 in the first five Series Features, Jimmy Phelps bounced back in the second half of 2025 to earn a seventh-place season finish. The Baldwinsville, NY driver finished the year with three top fives and 15 top 10s, with his best finish a second at Albany-Saratoga during Malta Massive Weekend in September.

Peter Britten (8th place): Peter Britten returned to the win column in 2025, reaching Victory Lane twice. First, he scored a victory at Volusia during DIRTcar Nationals to break a two-year winless drought. Then, the Brisbane, QLD, driver backed it up with his first Series win at Weedsport to kick off SummerFAST.

The “Batman” finished the year with four top fives and 12 top 10s.

Tim Sears Jr. (9th place): While the 2025 season saw a drop in the standings for Tim Sears Jr, it also brought him the most significant moment of his career. The Hastings, NY driver scored his first career Super DIRTcar Series win in a “race of the year” candidate at Brewerton Speedway during SummerFAST. He backed that win up with a win with five top fives and nine top 10s, to finish ninth in the final standings.

Jack Lehner (10th place): After getting off to a slow start in 2025, Jack Lehner started to hit his stride in the second half of the season, finishing in the top 10 in four of the final six races. That includes a third on the season’s final night at Charlotte. The Saratoga Springs, NY driver ended the season with two top fives and 12 top 10s en route to a 10th-place season finish.

Felix Roy (11th place): Felix Roy earned an 11th-place finish in the final Super DIRTcar Series standings, on the strength of two top fives and 10 top 10s throughout the season. His best finish was a fifth on two occasions, the first at Brockville in July and the second on night two of the World of Outlaws World Finals in November.

Anthony Perrego (12th place): Anthony Perrego finished 12th in the season’s final standings, in a season where he scored one victory, along with three top fives and 12 top 10s. The Montgomery, NY driver’s lone win came in the Series’ triumphant return to Sharon Speedway in August, where he held off Sheppard to earn a guaranteed starting spot at Super DIRT Week 53.

Darren Smith (13th place): Finishing behind Perrego was Darren Smith, who earned three top fives and six top 10s in 2025. The Binghamton, NY driver’s best finish came in October at Brockville, where he scored his lone podium finish of the season, crossing the line third behind Williamson and Payne.

Justin Stone (14th place): Third-generation driver Justin Stone returned to the Super DIRTcar Series in 2025, finishing 14th at the end of the season. He earned two top 10s throughout the season, with the Middlebury, VT driver’s best finish being a 10th on two occasions. One came at Albany-Saratoga, while the other was at Mohawk International Raceway.

Matt Stangle (15th place): Matt Stangle earned MD3 Rookie of the Year honors in 2025, along with a 15th-place finish at the end of the season. The Neshanic Station, NJ driver earned a top five and two top 10s, with his best finish coming at Charlotte in the season’s final event during World Finals.

Marcus Dinkins (16th place): Marcus Dinkins returned to the Super DIRTcar Series in 2025 and ended the season in 16th place. The top race of the year for the Watkins Glen, NY driver came at Brockville in October, where he went second-fastest in his Qualifying group, and earned a 15th-place finish at the end of the night.

Super DIRTcar Series Special Awards:

Fan Favorite: For the third straight season, Felix Roy earned the Super DIRTcar Series Fan Favorite award. The honor is determined by a fan vote toward the end of the season. Roy has won all three Fan Favorite awards since the honor was first given in 2023.

Social Ambassador: Along with his point-fund money, Williamson also took home the Social Ambassador award on Saturday. The award is given to the driver who best promotes the Super DIRTcar Series and DIRTvision throughout the season.

Crew Chief of the Year: Williamson wasn’t the only member of Buzz Chew Racing to earn an award. His Crew Chief, Ron “Spot” Ste. Marie, was given Crew Chief of the Year, an honor voted on by other Super DIRTcar Series crew members.
