Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each Super DIRTcar Series event? Series Announcer Mike Warren will bring you his top-five picks each week.

This week: Hall of Fame 100 at Weedsport Speedway.

MIKE’S TOP FIVE:

1. Stewart Friesen
Why: Nobody has been better than Friesen at Weedsport over the last calendar year. He’s won the last two Super DIRTcar Series races at the 3/8-mile track, along with another Feature win at the end of last season. He’s also won four of the nine points-paying races in 2025.

2. Mat Williamson
Why: Before Friesen went on his recent streak, Mat Williamson won three straight Series events at the track and earned a podium finish earlier this year after starting 21st. “Money Mat” also added a DIRTcar 358 Modified Series win earlier this month.

3. Alex Payne
Why: While Friesen won the Heroes Remembered 100 in May, Alex Payne was the show in the 100-lap Feature. After getting a flat tire while leading, the Hopewell, NY competitor drove from the back of the field to finish fourth.

4. Erick Rudolph
Why: Rudolph has quietly been consistent over the past few Super DIRTcar Series races and has momentum after finishing second at Land of Legends. The Ransomville, NY driver has only finished outside the top 10 once in the nine points-paying races.

 5. Matt Sheppard
Why: Despite only winning two Super DIRTcar Series races this season, Sheppard is starting to heat up across the Northeast, including two podium finishes in Canada earlier this week. It’s only a matter of time before the 10-time Series champ puts it in Victory Lane again.

You can follow these drivers and more at Weedsport Speedway on Saturday, July 26.
