Rain Postpones Brett Hearn’s “Big Show 8” at Albany-Saratoga

The event has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 6

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – June 28, 2016 – The Super DIRTcar Series Big Show 8 scheduled for Tuesday, June 28 at Albany-Saratoga Speedway has been postponed.

Big Show 8 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 6. All times will remain the same.

“It’s such a special event with so many people traveling from long distances to take into consideration. We decided in everyone’s best interest to postpone the race due to the severe weather in the forecast,” said Brett Hearn.

Friesen Wins Wild Race at Cornwall Motor Speedway

Captures first Super DIRTcar series win of the year

CORNWALL, Ont. - June 27, 2016 - Stewart Friesen battled to a wild first win of the season Sunday night as the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds took on Cornwall (Ont.) Motor Speedway.

Friesen, who took the lead on the initial start from pole-sitter Max McLaughlin, was able to capture the Mel Valade Backhoe Service 100 lapper, but not without a hard fight by fourth place starter, Matt Sheppard.

"What a racecar. Those cautions drive me crazy. When you pass Matt Sheppard back, that's really something. He's on top of his game right now," said Friesen in victory lane.

The Week Ahead: Super DIRTcar Series Tackles 3 in 5

The series heads to Cornwall Motor Speedway on June 26, Albany-Saratoga Speedway on June 28 and Canandaigua Motorsports Park on June 30

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. - June 24, 2016 - The Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds have a busy week ahead, as the series gears up for the heat of the summer and runs three races in five days.

On Sunday, the big blocks roll into Cornwall (Ont.) Motor Speedway then head back south to take on Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Tuesday for Brett Hearn's The Big Show 8 with Kenny Wallace and Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Thursday for the Jan Corcoran Memorial.

As the 2016 series season heats up, the battles are starting to heat up and the storylines are starting to form.

Super DIRTcar Series Returns to Williams Grove Speedway

The series returns for the first time since 2006; just the sixth time ever

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. - June 21, 2016 - In just 24 hours the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds will return to the historic half-mile Williams Grove Speedway for the first time in a decade.

Big-Block Modified Mayhem at the Grove on Wednesday, June 22 brings the series back for just the sixth time in series history. Jimmy Phelps last stood in victory lane with the series on Oct. 15, 2006. Among previous winners at the track are Brett Hearn (1992), Danny Johnson (1991), Bob McCreadie (1990) and Billy Pauch (1989).

2017 DIRTcar Nationals Date Changes Announced

46th Annual event shifts one week to Feb. 14 to 25, 2017

BARBERVILLE, Fla. - March 14, 2016 - The 46th Annual DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla. kicks off 'Florida in February' one week later in 2017 as the event shifts to Feb. 14 to 25, 2017.

"It is important to the World of Outlaws and DIRTcar that we continue to align this event with all of the great motorsports events in Florida during the month and provide as much accessibility to our fans as possible," said World of Outlaws and DIRTcar Chief Operating Officer Tom Deery.
