Canadian Kerr Scores First Super DIRTcar Series Victory in Bad Boy Buggies World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte

Sheppard captures his fourth series championship

CONCORD, N.C. - Nov. 8, 2015 - For the first time in his young career Canadian Big-Block Modified driver Tim Kerr of Picton, Ontario, scored a Super DIRTcar Series win, and did so on Sunday night at the premier Bad Boy Buggies World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

A strong second-place finish earned Waterloo, N.Y.'s Matt Sheppard his fourth Super DIRTcar Series championship title and the first for team owners, Al and Judy Heinke, of Heinke Baldwin Racing. After his Friday night, fourth place feature finish Sheppard held an 81-point lead over only other title contender, Gypsum Express driver Billy Decker of Unadilla, N.Y.

CONCORD, N.C. – Nov. 6, 2015 – For the second consecutive season Danny Johnson put his Chris Genarrelli-owned ride in Victory Lane at the Bad Boy Buggies World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. The ageless veteran campaigner used a nifty pass on an early restart to assume the lead and eventually the $8,000 win.

Decker notches 5th win at Brewerton

BREWERTON, N.Y. - October 22, 2015 – Billy Decker started on the pole and won the twice rained-out McDonald’s 100 at Brewerton Speedway Thursday, but it wasn’t all that easy.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Oct. 11, 2015 - No one hates to see the end of the one-mile New York State Fairgounds oval more than Stewart Friesen.


The 32-year-old Canadian who now lives in Sprakers, N.Y., closed the venerable track's rich motorsports history on Sunday by putting his name in the conversation of best to ever tour the speedway, winning the 44th annual Syracuse 200 Big-Block Modified spectacular and its $50,000 top prize for the fourth time in the last six years.

Decker prevails at Fonda

4th 2015 Super DIRTcar Series win for the “Franklin Flyer”

FONDA, NY – Billy Decker retook the lead from Brett Hearn for the second time on lap 78 and stayed in front the rest of the way to win the Mohawk Valley 100 at Fonda Speedway.

It was the defending Super DIRTcar Series (SDS) champion’s fourth series win of the season and his first at Fonda Speedway since 1988.

Wight claws back for Granby victory

Outduels Hearn before packed house for 2nd Super DIRTcar career win

GRANBY, QC – Larry Wight finished what he started at Autodrome Granby and left town with the 2nd Super DIRTcar Series win of his career and $6,000.

The 22-year-old driver of the Gypsum Express No. 99L set a new track record during time trials, won his qualifying heat, drew the pole and sealed the deal in a 100-lap thriller despite a big-time test from Brett Hearn.

Red-hot Friesen strikes again at Rolling Wheels

Holds off Larry Wight for 3rd straight Super DIRTcar win

ELBRIDGE, N.Y. – September 3, 2015 – Stewart Friesen led the final 88 laps of the Bud Light 100 at Rolling Wheels Raceway to score his third straight Super DIRTcar Series win and a $7,500 payoff in the Petruska Racing Atlas Paving No. 66.

Friesen drew the pole, yielded to Anthony Perrego for 12 laps and then took over. Pat Ward and Danny Johnson stayed with the leader during the first half of the race, but eventual runner-up Larry Wight pressured him the most for the final 20 laps. Wight, could hang with Friesen and gain ground down the backstretch into turn three, but he couldn’t make the Gypsum Express No. 99L stick into and off the first turn well enough to ever get to Friesen’s door. Friesen’s margin of victory was two car-lengths.

Friesen pits, rallies, wins at Ransomville

Passes Tim Fuller with 4 laps left for 2nd straight Super DIRTcar Series win

RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. – September 2, 2015 – Stewart Friesen reeled in Tim Fuller with four laps to go and won the Alex Friesen Summer Nationals 100 at Ransomville Speedway after pitting under caution while running second to change a tire on lap 83.

Fuller, the polesitter, led the first 96 laps as heavy attrition from tire wear kept shuffling the field behind him. Pat Ward, along with Fuller one of the few drivers who never pitted, finished third. Erick Rudolph (from 30th) was fourth, followed by Randy Chrysler.

Friesen earns Mr. Dirt Track USA title

Takes lead with two to go at Lebanon Valley for $17,500 payday

WEST LEBANON, NY – Stewart Friesen dogged polesitter Brett Hearn for 98 laps and went by him as he ran out of gas to win the Super DIRTcar Series (SDS) Mr. Dirt Track USA 100 for a $17,500 payday as a big Lebanon Valley Speedway crowd rose to its feet.

Hearn was trying for his fourth Big-Block Modified win in five nights and his second straight SDS victory. He set a new single-lap track record in qualifying and drew the pole in the Dig Safely NY redraw.
