2012 Season Review: With four top-five finishes and 11 top-10 finishes out of 14 starts, Haers finished a strong fourth in points for the Super DIRTcar Series. The Phelps, N. Y., native started the season strong, placing third in the series opener at his home track, Canandaigua Motorsports Park. Two consecutive eighth-place finishes at Merrittville Speedway and I96 Speedway helped improve his standings after spending four races outside the top 10. A sixth-place finish at Rolling Wheels Raceway in September for the Stars & Stripes further bumped Haers up, and gave him the momentum he needed to pull off a third at Mohawk International Raceway and fourth at the VP Small Engine Fuels 200 during NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLI at the New York State Fairgrounds. Haers rounded out his season with a fifth-place finish in the Eastern States 200 at the Orange County Fair Speedway and two seventh-place finishes at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Series History: Until the ’09 campaign, he finished a career-best eighth in the 2005 Mr. DIRTcar standings with nine Top-10 Series finishes, posting his lone Integra Shocks Fast Time at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in ’04 --- the same year he was honored as DIRTcar Northeast's top Big-Block rookie. That year Hears finished 12th in overall Hoosier Tire-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar Modified points (4 top-10 finishes).

DIRTcar Racing Record: Now with several checkered flags taken at Can-Am Motorsports Park and  Cayuga County since 2002, Haers has also triumphed in 358-Modified competition and o in the DIRTcar Sportsman ranks. He has claimed track point championships in both 358-Modified (Cayuga County) and Sportsman Modified (Canandaigua, Rolling Wheels) divisions during the new millennium.

Fun Fact: After being engaged to Melanie Wiesner since the summer of 2006, Justin finally tied the knot with DIRTcar Sportsman Modified racer Danny Wiesner’s sister on March 28, 2009; the same date as the 2009 Series opener at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway that was ultimately cancelled due to rain. 2010 will be Justin’s first racing as a father after Melanie gave birth to their first child, Emma Rose, on January 26.
